Greg Lasley passed away in 2021, but he leaves us with a treasure-trove of wildlife photographs that offer beauty, reference and
documentation of species throughout the United States. He was a trailblazer, mentor and an inspiration to many photographers that
followed in his footsteps. In the early 2000's I ran across his website, and said to myself - "That's what I want to do." When I found
out that Greg lived in the same city - Austin, TX - I was even more enthused. Eventually, I got to meet Greg, and I was honored when he asked
me to update and modernize his website, which he had originally created in 1998. In 2020, he contacted me and told me about
his terminal lung disease. He let me know that he had paid his web hosting company to keep his website going for five years, and
told me I could let it expire or keep it going after that. In August 2025, that deadline was reached, but of course I, and many others
want the website to continue. As long as I am around, this website will carry on.
