The Mourning Warbler (Geothlypis philadelphia) is a nesting bird of the extreme northeastern United States and parts of Canada. The species winters in Central and South America. The two shots here show a migrant male at Driftwood, Hays Co., Texas, in May, 1996. This was a captive bird which had been netted for banding. It was banded and released just after these shots were taken. | ![]() |
