Vervet Monkey
Cercopithecus aethiops
The Vervet Monkey (Cercopithecus aethiops) is fairly common and widespread over much of southern Africa. The first four shots here show adults and a youngster at the Satara Camp in Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, in January, 2006. The bottom shot, of an adult and a youngster, was taken in the Blyde River Canyon, in the same province of South Africa. The images were shot with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II and EF 70-200mm F/2.8 L IS lens and 2X extender.
