| Intricate Satyr Hermeuptychia intricata Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area, Davy Crockett National Forest, Houston Co., Texas 26 March 2008 This is a new species, recently split from Carolina Satyr. This is communication I have received from Nick Grishin about this new species. "Greg: As you may know, we recently published a paper to describe a new species of satyr from TX: http://www.pensoft.net/J_FILES/1/articles/6394/6394-G-3-layout.pdf Now, we are planning to have a note for the "News of Lepidopetrists' Society" to include more records (when people started looking) and show more photographs to help people identify this very tricky butterfly.
