The Ringed Kingfisher (Megaceryle torquata), formerly Ceryle torquata, is a widespread kingfisher of the Americas, occurring from southern Texas all the way to the southern tip of South America. The males shown in the top 3 images were photographed in southern Tamaulipas, Mexico, in December 2004.
